Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Solpath, a door-to-door canvassing management platform (the "Service") operated by Sam Tuppen, a sole trader trading as Solpath ("Solpath", "we", "us"). By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Solpath provides software that helps canvassing and installer teams identify eligible properties, record door-knocking outcomes, manage callbacks and sign-ups, and oversee field teams. The Service draws on publicly available data sources (including the GOV.UK Energy Performance Certificate register and HM Land Registry price-paid data) to help build walk lists. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or eligibility status of any property; final eligibility decisions remain your responsibility.

2. Accounts and eligibility

• You must be at least 18 and provide accurate registration details.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• A team subscription is administered by a manager, who is responsible for the canvassers they invite and for ensuring those users comply with these Terms.

3. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges until you cancel.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled.
• You can cancel or change your plan at any time via the customer portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then.
• Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
• We may change pricing or plan features on reasonable notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.

4. Your responsibilities and acceptable use

You are solely responsible for ensuring your canvassing activity is lawful. In particular, you agree that you and your team will:

• comply with all applicable laws, including data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), consumer protection rules, and any relevant grant-scheme requirements;
• act as the data controller for any personal data you collect about members of the public through the Service, and have a valid lawful basis for collecting and processing it;
• not use the Service to harass individuals, misrepresent eligibility, or engage in unfair or misleading practices;
• not attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.

We act as a data processor in respect of the canvassing data you enter, processing it on your behalf to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by Solpath and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your business while your subscription is active. Data you enter remains yours.

6. Availability and disclaimers

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and the Service depends on third-party data sources and infrastructure. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solpath is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or business arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or fail to pay. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may delete your data after a reasonable period in line with our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
